Nicky Whitehead Homeopathy

Consultation, details

What can homeopathy help with?

  • Improving health (more...)
  • Increasing energy and vitality
  • Dealing with times of emotional stress (more...)
  • Dealing with times of transition, such as children starting school or nursery, teenagers moving towards adulthood, or the menopause

Some examples can be found on this web site. If you are in doubt, please contact me as below and we can look at how homeopathy may help you.

What happens in the consultation?

We will discuss you as an individual and, specifically, the way that health and other issues are affecting you. Homeopathy treats you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. It looks at the causes of complaints and at the way you experience them physically, mentally and emotionally.

I will also ask about the medical history of you and your family, and details of any medication you take. Homeopathic remedies will work alongside your medication, so there will be no need to stop taking medication unless your GP advises it.

The first session will last 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Subsequent consultations will last ½ to 1 hour. My aim is for these to be comfortable, informal, confidential and focussed on you and the issues you wish to discuss.

How many sessions are needed?

We can discuss this after the first consultation. Typically, the longer term a condition, the longer the treatment that may be required. However, this depends on the nature of the condition, and on your own vitality and adaptability.
I would usually suggest at least one follow up appointment around 4 weeks after the first consultation to discuss progress with you.

What do you charge?

  • £65 for the initial consultation (£40 for children and young people under 18)
  • £40 for each follow up consultation (£25 for children and young people under 18)

If you have a health plan, such as those offered by Leeds Hospital Fund (www.lhfhealthplan.co.uk) or H.S.A. (www.hsaa.co.uk/HSA/products/health-plans), you may be able to recover some of your costs.

Is it safe?

Homeopathic remedies have no adverse side effects. They are safe for all, including pregnant women, babies, children and the elderly.
In babies and children, natural vitality should be at its highest, often giving some of the fastest results.

Where do you work?

I can see you at Ilkley Complementary Therapies, 2 Castle Hill, LS29 9DT, opposite Ilkley's Manor House.

Can I bring a friend?

If you would like to, by all means, yes.
